Maybe you should get another opinion from another cardiologist.

Subject: slow pulse

I noted that in recent postings low blood pressure was regarded as a side
effect of taking Simenet. What about slow pulse? Is that also a side
effect? I know that my pulse has never been above 60 since I have been on
Simenet; my pulse is usually in the mid-50s. Last month when I saw my
general practitioner my pulse was 42 as taken by the nurse and 48 as taken
by
the doctor. My cardiologist was notified and he said what he always says:
when you start passing out, we will get you a pacemaker. I don't pass out,
get dizzy, etc. I do tend to have low blood pressure, and I did before
taking the simenet. I take water exercise classes twice per week, but I
don't have, and never have had, a strong conditioning program. What do you
think? Is it a side effect? Is it something I should be concerned about? I
see my neurologist/movement specialist on Wednesday. I am not sure, but I
think that he was aware of my slow pulse in the past.
