Phil

I forgot that my attachments would be in old WordPerfect [5.1 DOS] and will
send tomorrow in MS Word and/or ascii.

I forgot to mention. I'm 68 yrs old. Presume you are much younger. The lack
of arm swing is typical. The inability to do rapid repetitive motion to me
indicates that you have used up the neurotransmitter at the particular
synapse(s) required for that motion. I have the same problem myself with the
fingers.

I use Sinemet, Eldepryll, and recently Tasmar. I was on Comtan for 5 1/2
years, first in the US trial for safety and then in the effectiveness trial.
I think the Tasmar is a more effective COMT inhibitor but there are possible
liver problems which I am watching for. I find that Mirpex does nothing for
me except give me a head wobble and vivid dreams.

Good night.

Subject: Arm Swing

I've had PD now for 4 1/2 years and what was once a loss of natural arm
swing is now an inability to even consciously swing my arm. I also find
it very difficult to repetitively quickly bend my arm at the elbow from
straight to 90 degrees and back straight. I'm taking Sinemet, Comtan and
Mirapex, but have problems regardless of where I am in my med cycle.
More or less meds doesn't help.

How common is this especially this early in the disease?
