Dear Ken , Sharon and many more. Sharon Parker wrote: > Is there > anything we can do collectively as a group....ie..letters, phone > calls, > e-mail.....?????? Maybe if enough PIEN members call, something good will happen. The most important news I got today is that my lawyer resigned two weeks ago, and has has gone to LOUSIANA!! Nobody let me know!! His supervisor, Peter Rice,(207) 626-2774 , after initially refusing my calls does NOt WANT MY APPEAL. HE actually told me that he has no time to spend on it, and will NOT get involved! He refuses to learn about my case, and says that he is just going to sit and wait to see what happens... THis lawyerless state of affairs makes a big grey CLOUD hang over my future. PIEN 'ers, am I being told that I am a goofball?? Is the hidden message that we PWP's are not seen as reliable, competent witnesses? WHY the doubts? Or is the message to ALL of us that we lesser-known and poorer PWP's are not being REALLY heard yet??- I now have NO lawyer. This is getting VERY scary. I can only imagine how it must feel for those of you who are " on trial" , like I am. HOW LONG do they drag this out? The freedoms the American Constitution provides are getting invisible to me.
