This is great!
In Ohio , progressively neurology ill people are not allowed in brain
injury programs because they feel that the brain injury patients get
improvements, whereas the progressive neuro patient doesn't. I don't
agree with that logic, but that is what is stated here many times. Thus
the young neuor patient is often put with the Alzheimer's patient. The
brain injury patients are patients who are classified as being able to
be trained to get back into the work force paid and volunteer work
force.

I think this is what some of us interested have been fighting for in
order to stay at home. Why should the govt. have to build new houses??
reinventing the wheel. Why should Ivan have to live in community housing
when he already has a home??unless he couldn't pay the mortgage. OOPS I
forgot save the govt. money. It is cheaper to have 1 HHA for 6 patients
in a govt. subside home/room, then to have 1 HHA for 1 patient in the
patients own home. Also, that way we can pat ourselves on the back and
say how we are for the citizens of the USA. I thought Capitalism was
free market not government control. I thght government control was
socialist or communism.

I am torn - I don't want to see people in most restrictive environment
when they don't have to be, but why do they have to go there first??

Why do we have to build new housing when the person already had a home??
Why didn't they get the help they need in their own living quarters to
begin with?? AH i forgot the word I get told alot- 'control' If it is
such a great thing why do Govt. officials get different benefits?
However, this is an excellent start as to getting people to realize
that some ill people can be in the community longer than what one may
think.
