dear david
my jack had the same problem and i finally figured it was similar to
croup in children so i bought a vicks hot steam vaporizer aand just used
plain water in it at bedtime --it did help
as our air was very dry. now that winter is here and not so dry we don't use it. also he uses biotene mouth wash
and toothpaste made especially for dry mouth.  maybe you could try the same things.
  hope this will help.
   sincerely
    connie
