Nina, My interest would be in having some serious research done on the subject, Double blind studies etc. That would require a professional program to make comparisons. I'm of the opinion that there is a placebo affect both with acupuncture and possibly with TENS. False hope is a bad route to travel. I recently received a letter from someone who told me that a trip to Lourdes in France helped their PD. Maybe so - but I have trouble accepting anecdotal success stories whether they are based on religious faith or other single person results. Show me statistics and double blind studies, then I become a believer. I don't feel qualified to do the testing. Is anyone out there interested. I'll gladly teach them anything they want to know about what a TENS does electrically -- but not medically. After all, I am an O.E.E. Sid Levin PS (OEE stands for Obsolete Electrical Engineer.)
