Specialization in Middle English literature. Minimum qualifications: Ph.D. completed before start date, record of successful teaching, and evidence of scholarly achievement. Preference to candidates who can teach broadly in the area of specialization, including Arthurian legend, romance, medieval drama, Chaucer; have secondary ability to teach History of the English Language, Bible as Literature, World Literature, Mythology; have experience working in a funded research environment with computerized texts; use contemporary theoretical approaches to medieval literature and culture in their research and teaching; are eager to work in a collegial manner in a diverse department of scholars. The successful candidate will also work with UNM=92s interdisciplinary Medieval Studies Institute.
