Many times I will look to other neuro illnesses to get helpful hints/tips to assist caregivers and me to take care of me as well as themselves. On the PSP site , there is a free newsletter which has these helpful hints of using toothettes (sp?) (caregivers and PSP site) and lip balm for dry mouth and lips. The use of a bedside commode with the metal side arms and raised toilet seat. Someone suggested vinyl flannel backed tablecloths from the discount stores to be placed under the bedside commode for easier cleaning. nancy m.
