Howard is survived by his wife of 49 years, Jacquie Strauss. Children, Jay (Joyce) Strauss of San Carlos, Leigh (Craig) Sobotka of San Diego and Grandchildren; Alison & Benjamin Strauss, Katelyn & Reid Sobotka. Brother Edwin Strauss & sister Virginia Sukenik. Howard is also survived by many loving relatives, friends and his Guide Dog for the Blind breeder dog, Dawn. Retired from Bacar, Inc. Past Master of Starr King Lodge in S.F. Past President of City of Hope Doubles Chapter. Member of Peninsula Temple Beth El.Graduate of UC Berkeley. Volunteer at Samaritan House. Howard had been battling Parkinson's Disease for the past 10 years and died at home of a heart attack. His spirit and actions will remain with all of us forever. Howard's family and friends will always remember their best friend, who lived every day to the best of his ability. MEMORIAL SERVICES will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 13 at 11:00 a.m. at Peninsula Temple Beth El, 1700 Alameda de Las Pulgas in San Mateo.
