The information quoted in the Melbourne newspaper was a bit overly
optimistic about the results of the stem cell procedure that brought about
the "cure", according to a spokeswoman in Dr. Levesque's(La veek) office
this morning. The "News" was old news and the patient has not been cured of
Parkinson's.
The FDA did approve the procedure but a research protocol has not been
reached with Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre's Neurofunctional Surgery Centre
in Los Angeles. Further research can not be done until this has been
completed.
Patients of Dr. Levesque and Parkinsn will be the first to know of any change.
