Jeannette and I have already discussed the possiblity of traveling to
Europe for the stem cell treatment should the opportunity be required.
I hope that it is not but I agree with you that it is a possibility.
Even if we can get treatment here in the USA the question becomes one
of 'How will it be paid?'. I suspect that it will be years before the
medical insurance industry will see it as an accepted practice of
medicine and cover the costs. Only under an experimental plan will the
patients get the costs covered as a part of a grant or other such
research funding.
Back-up plan is needed and your idea deserves consideration.
