Hi Folks,

My insomnia is really bad now, benadryl has been helping a lot for more than
two years but is becoming less effective now. I went to see a movement
disorder specialist and he has prescribed Mirapex for my tremor. I have not
started it yet but plan to in the next few days after I recover from a
little flu bug with an upset stomach. Tremor and insomnia are the only
symptoms I have.

I did not ask the doctor the following question, I was more concerned about
getting relief from the tremor than the insomnia. But the last 3 or 4 nights
have been really bad.

My question is "What are the chances that Mirapex will help me sleep
better?" Does stimulating the dopamine receptors to relieve PD symptoms
also help with the insomnia? Is there anyone with personal experience that
can give me some hope. Are the odds, 10%, 50% or 90%? What is your best
guess.
