Italian AIP spot takes home Best of Show prize at the New York Festival
International TV and Cinema Advertising Awards
Great recognition for AIP and Italy. Mr Parkinson dressed in black overtakes
all the campaigns of other no-profit organizations in the world (Saturday,
10 February 2001)

Last spring AIP prepared a spot on Parkinson?s Disease together with
McCann-Erickson Spa, an advertising agency with which there is a
long-standing friendly cooperation. The objective was to increase awareness
of Parkinson?s Disease, its effects and the intervention of the Italian
Association of Parkinsonian Patients. It took only one day to realize a
short story-board. It regards a lady, who would lead a normal life if she
were not constantly tormented by a man dressed in black, namely Mr
Parkinson, who does his best to prevent her from carrying out the most
simple tasks. In the end the lady will realize that she can rely on the
Italian Association AIP. The film was prepared with the utmost care, giving
importance even to small details, so that the disease was simulated
perfectly. This was possible thanks to the advice of two experienced
neurologists, Prof Pezzoli and Dr Canesi. A incisive film resulted from this
effort, which has now been rewarded with a highly sought prize. The
Association thanks the producer, the director and the agency; special thanks
go to Donatella Bizzari of McCann-Erickson. They have all enabled AIP to
realize impressive campaigns for years - and always cost-free.
