I was diagnosed with PD twenty years
ago.
On Dec. 8, 1993 I had a right side pallidotomy and
on Dec. 14, 1994 had a left pallidal DBS.
the surgeries resulted in my moving from the 85th
percentile to the 10th percentile. My drug therapy went from 16
Sinemet CR 200/50 daily and 9 permax 1mg daily to 4 CRs and 2.5 Permax, at a
saving of well over $12,000 per annum.
