Dave,

Thanks for your reply about the Sinemet differences. We are very lucky to
have knowlegable professional people such as yourself on here.

Dr.took me off the regular sinemet and switched me to the CR because the
other was wearing off between doses (I've only been on the sinemet for two
weeks) and i've only taken the CR for two days now but it seems to be
working ok. I just wish i didn't have the nightmares all night. Is that
from the drug or P.D. or both?

Also I have another question for you - I hear and read that there are drugs
we should definately NOT take with PD while on sinemet can you tell me what
they are (I'Ve heard Demerol is one). I was on Covera HS (Verapimil) 240 mg
largest dose-for hypertension went on sinemet started feeling light-headed
and dizzy at times, checked my BP (I work for a large cardiology group) and
it was very low-then I read in PDR hypertensive meds should be adjusted
BEFORE starting Sinemet so i called my family doc who took me off the Covera
completely and my BP has remained just fine since. Must be the neurologist
overlooked that. I am a cardiac ultrasound technician and can tell you lots
about the heart but very little about the brain although i"m learning fast
and many thanks to all of you for your help. Diane
