Many thanks for keeping us updated re Ivan. Despite reading all posts by
and/or about Ivan AND talking with him on the phone a few times, I can't
truthfully say I understand just WHY he was involuntarily removed from his
home to a hospital..
It seems to me that Ivan's usual "squeaky wheel" actions in his communities
("The squeaky wheel gets the oil") actually BACKFIRED on him) and this move
was the civil government's (presuming this move was orchestrated by a civil
government action directly made against Ivan) in order to get him out of
their collective hair and FINALLY shut him up! .
I'd sure hate to hear that Ivan's home and belongings were trashed and/or
abused by that god-awful
"pseudo-doctor-magic-magnets-aroma-threrapy-magic-crystals, UTTERLY CREEPY
person who was allegedly "helping him"prior to Ivan's being incarcerated (and
I see this as the incarceration of Ivan).
And it's RIGHT that we who are single have fear or what will become of us at
some future time if/when our personal, physical, and emotional care is up for
discussion. or only have relatives too young to make decisions for us, or who
live too far away, or are too uncaring, or DO care ABOUT us but are unable to
accept or even acknowledge that we, their loved one, is host to an uninvited
and very terrible disease. They'll do things for us because they DO care but
they want nothing to do with Parkinson's in any way, shape or form got every
right to fear something similar happening to you
So --- what is the next step with Ivan after he's been in the transferred
over to the next residencial care facility? Will he ever be able to return
to his own home?
This leads me to the question "Are we our brother's keeper? And what good is
all the fund raising efforts on a PERSONAL level if that money doesn't
trickle down assistance L level if the Parkinson's Orgs. if those very same
orgs don't help the INDIVIDUAL person with Parkinson's needinf help (ncluding
general monatery assistance NOW who need personal living assistance.
