I had to put my mother in a nursing home because home care costs too much. A lot more than Ivan's. She actually screamed and cried when I called the ambulance. I had always thought she was afraid at night. After she was in the nursing home 2 days she was suddenly not afraid and happy. I think it was due to the number of people there. The food was not so good but not too bad either. Since I am a retired nurse ( not then) I know she got very good care. I lived about 250 miles away and drove there every second week. She lost interest in my visits after 15-30 minutes. She had other things to do. I really think the patients (or residents ) attitude is the most important and that one person will see things differently than another. Nita Andres
