Ervin, I am the happy recipient of an Activa system. I had it June 1999 in Kansas City. I had it put in the stn(subthallamic nucleus) for Parkinson's Disease. My life has changed for immeasurably for the better. It is not a cure but I have cut my meds in half and my life now resembles a normal life. I was diagnosed in 1986 at the age of 52. I would encourage anyone having significant problems with their meds to consider it.
