As you have seen, people are not in agreement regarding the use of
medication.  I was diagnosed a year ago, and began taking Mirapex almost
immediately.  I am now taking .5mg three times a day, and Eldepryl (5mg
twice a day).  I have had some relief from my tremors, and have had no major
side effects.  A few weeks ago, my neurologist said he could detect very
little progression of my PD since diagnosis.  I know that some people taking
Mirapex have had bad side effects and/or no improvement.  Unfortunately, the
only way to know how it will work for you is to try it.  I am glad I did.
