Phyllis, do this: 1. bring up your Norton Antivirus. 2. in the status, check for the date of your last update. mine says 3/06/2001. it says that it is protecting me against 48816 viruses. 3. Make sure that Auto-Protect is turned on. it should have a yellow badge on the left of the text. To the right is the DISABLE button - do not press it. 4. Go to the help ICON, click on it, go to About Norton Virus, then click on the Norton AntiVirus tab, look for the version - mine is 6.20.04.. If all else fails, give them a call. Do you have the right version for your Operating System? Hope this helps.
