Your concerns are well founded as it isn't always an easy trying to deal with
all the symptoms of Parkinson's but in your father's case it usually takes a
more timid route.
Young onset Parkinson's usually is a less aggressive type of the disease.

I have had Parkinson's for the past 22 years, the first 8 years with it only
on one side. I took Sinemet for 18 years before it quit working and I still
have an active life at age 57.

The most important role in your father's health will depend on the
relationship with his neurologist and an aggressive exercise regime.
