cross posted from: http://neuro-mancer.mgh.harvard.edu/ubb/Forum207/HTML/000338.html From: boreal posted March 30, 2001 01:49 AM Jared plans to walk the entire Appalachian Trail to raise money for Parkinson's research. His hike begins April 15 in Georgia and ends in Maine at the end of August. Jared's effort will honor his grandfather, who died of Parkinson's disease in 1995. He needs people to sponsor him and hikers to join him. Check out his web site at http://www.lowcountryguide.com/hike/index. html. One person can make a difference. Last year in Maine, two people made a difference with a bike ride that raised 10,000.00 for PD research. As a person with Pd and as a person who loves to hike, I will support Jared here in Maine. Please give Jared your support and encouragement. Thank you.
