Leslie,

We call our course Academic Writing (AW). This has caused a bit of trouble for
students transferring to other universities. Although our English department
counts our 3-credit first year course as an English credit and cross lists all
of our upper-level courses, other universities have been less generous.
Credit transfers are a big issue and one you should take into consideration as
you make your decision.
