Dear Sally-Beth, I would have emailed you earlier, to apologise for my disappearance from the post-seminar dinner, but I had to go to Valencia. I was very sorry to miss the well-justified celebrations, and partciuarly the chance to toast your and Scott's shepherding of the (unfoot-and-mouth-diseased) flock.
