Snyder, who is a person with Parkinson's Disease, has spearheaded the golf fundraiser as well as other activities to raise awareness of the disease and to funds to find a cure. The tournament is planned July 7 at Donovon Golf course in Peoria. A family fun day is also planned at Three Sister Park. Events scheduled at the park include a magic show, storytelling, and bocce ball tournament. A few of the many contributors who have promised their generous support to the event include Methodist Medical Center, Caterpillar Inc., Three Sisters Park, Cilco, and CEFCU. Additional sponsorship is needed. Contact Joan Snyder at 579-3026 for more information about contributing.
