B E E E D I T O R I A L S Letters to the editor (Published April 9, 2001) Stem cell research Re "'Horror story'," letter, March 24: I know of no one, pro- or anti-stem or fetal cell research, who recommends creating embryos to remove the needed stem cells. The reality is that there are currently enough cells available in storage to do this research without the barbaric image the letter writer attempted to portray. The Parkinson's Disease Association of the Sacramento Valley does not endorse nor denounce this research, but rather makes every attempt to provide the facts, all the facts, to the community and trusts that with this information, people will make judgments with which they can be comfortable. --Maxine Milner Krugman, Sacramento President, Parkinson's Disease Assn. of the Sacramento Valley http://www.sacbee.com/voices/news/voices04_20010409.html ******* [log in to unmask] ---------------------------------------------------------------------- To sign-off Parkinsn send a message to: mailto:[log in to unmask] In the body of the message put: signoff parkinsn
