frank...one of the most practical suggestions came from an occupational
therapist, who saw me walk...she suggested that by stretching the hamstring,
it will help lift the toes when walking, thus lessening the chance of
stumbling...i stretch the hamstring by standing on a stair step, with a firm
hold on the rail, and lowering my heels...i just hold it that way...don't
know if your therapist would approve...works for me...i'm an advocate, not
an expert, of using the cane, walker, wheelchair, etc...takes bones and
bruises a long time to heal...good luck...dale
