Patricia/Fleurette

That was going to be my suggestion also. Before we were seeing our MDS, my mom
had those night time restless legs a lot - at times pretty severe. We used to
try Valiums and some other pretty strong pain relievers, but that did not work
well - would make her sleepy and otherwise drowsy - but the pain and jumpiness
would still be there. (Have come to find out they were caused by a lack of
dopamine and not nerve or muscle related.)

Once we found our MDS, he changed her meds all together. Increased her level of
Sinemet, and low and behold, the frequency of her restless legs has dramatically
been reduced. They only occur occasionally now. As a matter of fact, when they
start to happen, we go looking around the floor where she took her last meds,
and can almost bet that we will find her Sinemet that she dropped and hadn't
taken.

If the restless legs are already in progress, and you take the Sinemet then, we
usually have to wait around for about half hour to 45 minutes before it kicks in
- but experience has shown us that it will kick in and all will be back in
order.

We are currently taking one Sinemet CR 25/100, along with one Comtan at 6 hour
intervals (4 times per day) - also Requip (2 mg) per day. This combination
works great for us. Before the Comtan, we were at 5 or 6 Sinemet CR 25/100 each
day (4 hour intervals). The Comtan works well for us.

Just my two cents worth.
