Hi, I'm new to this list. My mane is Dick Pearce, from Devon, England. I've just been provisionally diagnosed with PD, (still awaiting brain scan but following normal blood tests), and am seeking advice. About 6 years ago ,whilst doing very heavy physical work, I had an accident resulting in a massive rotator cuff tear with biceps involvement in my right shoulder( I am right handed). This was shortly followed by what I was told was tendonitis in my left shoulder, from overuse. I eventually had an operation to repair my right shoulder, last April, followed by physiotherapy, which was/is painful and only very slowly progressively beneficial. It has, however, resulted in my left shoulder becoming worse and very painful.Whilst on a routine follow up visit a registrar suspected PD and arranged for an appointment with a neurologist, who provisionally diagnosed PD, and prescribed a mild regime of Requip. In retrospect, I regonise many PD symptons from at least 6 years ago, which I originally put down to my shoulder problems and an old leg injury, and generally getting older(I am 49 years). My question is- I have heard of Levadopa relieving shoulder pain problems, at least temporarily, but does the same apply to agonists, or would it be better to ask for Levadopa? I would very much appreciate advice from anyone with relevant knowledge/experience. Dick Pearce. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- To sign-off Parkinsn send a message to: mailto:[log in to unmask] In the body of the message put: signoff parkinsn
