>I can't say that Sinemet is the solution for frozen shoulder. My frozen
shoulder started after about three weeks of use of Sinemet. I have had no
previous injury to the shoulder. The effective shoulder is the opposite of
the PD side. I believe the frozen shoulder is due to either PD or
Sinemet.<

This is a revelation to me! I had a very painful episode with a torn
rotater cuff last year, went to an orthopedic specialist and was never told
it could have something to do with PD. Now the other shoulder is also stiff
and sore, but is better when my Sinemet is 'on'. Reading about so many
people having trouble with their shoulders makes me realize that PD could
be the culprit. There is so much about this disease that seems to be a
mystery. I was diagnosed nearly 8 yr.s ago at age 58 on the basis of a
tremor in my left hand and a general slowing down. Now I'm wondering why I
was put on Sinemet right away instead of some of the other drugs.
On my last visit to the neurologist he said he was referring me to the
Movement Disorder clinic and I would have to wait about 10 months for an
appointment. Why wasn't I referred before, I wonder.
This listservice is proving to be very interesting.
