I went to the generic a month and a half ago--mine has the manufacturer's name SAMYL, are a faint violet and have the 9 4 on the scored side. About a week ago, my on time crashed to about 60% per dose, even though I was still on the carbo/levo 50/200. One of the things we (my neurologist and I) did was to go back to the CR Sinemet 50/200 and things are much better, back to where I was 10 days ago. I'm not sure if it was solely the generic--it had worked fine for 6 weeks--but if I don't want to go back to where I've been this past weekend and am willing to pay for the brand-name if that helps keep me on. My co-pay for Sinemet CR is 4-5 times that of the generic. The manufacturer is MYLAN and the tabs are a violet shade, oval shape with 9 4 on the tab side that is scored. Have any of you tried this generic for Sinemet CR? Did you notice any difference with the generic? Thanks for any feedback. The cost or copay is 1/3 of Sinemet CR.
