Catherine, just another persons experience for you to ponder. My PWP was diagonosed 4 yrs ago. Within a week of being put on sinemet 25/100 4xday his tremors improved immensley. After playing with fine tuning for almost a yr he ended up on two 25/100 five times a day. He is still at that dose. Tremors are fairly well controlled and balance is really very good. Naturally he has to be thoughtful plus careful with his movements. He always walks with a cane in the house and a 4 wheeled walker with brakes, outside. He has never experienced dyskenesia. Has not had on and off times once his carb/leva was stabalized.. Hope this gives you some more info regarding how different each PWP reacts to this horrid disease.
