Thank you to all who have responded so far about panic disorder related to taking agonists. Marco, you asked about Pergolide..yes, Permax is the brand name. Sandy, your review of your symptoms and the quote on anxiety disorder from the handbook were very helpful to me. (And thanks for the Voltaire quote on faith...very inspiring and relevant for me.) Ervin, you and others brought up the Sinemet debate. Having tried agonists unsuccessfully, what's left? There are so many concerns about starting Sinemet and this has been a topic of discussion in my local PD support group, too. Yet it seems that some people do OK/well on Sinemet for many years. I have symptoms of rigidity, slowness of movement in my right hand and leg (dominant side) and tremor, has progressed pretty slowly for 6 years from diagnosis, prabably 8 years since some symptoms noticed.
