Subject: questioin about abilty to do job

I have a question. I am a PWP about 3 years diagnosted. I have been on a leave of absence from my job due to a stress fracture in my foot. I work in a major chain of grocery stores and am the lead deli person. I work around chicken fryers and slice meat and cheese. The floor is at times slippery. I am in and out of walk in freezers. I carry boxes that weight around 50 lbs all day. This is just so you understand what I do.

I was talking to my direct supervisor and he said my store manager expressed consern about my ability to do my job safely. She is concered that due to my Parkinsons I could injure myself or others.

Can she demote me by putting me into a position of less pay per hour by putting me in a job that is not so demanding?

Pam
