Sally-Beth, I have been ordering REED volumes for the library, but suspect that
they will not accept my orders after I retire at the end of next year. Still,
chances of getting books are better than CD-rom since books are archival, CDs
are not (estimated lifespan 30 years? and how long will the equipment to play
them last?). Is there no way to reduce the cost of publication? I have been
buying REED volumes until recently, when it is clear that I literally have no
space for more books (especially thick ones like the REED volumes) in the house
(and how do I manage to move stuff from my office as well when I retire?!!), but
am really interested in Kent. I would vote for some way of producing a cheaper
set of books (on acid-free paper, of course) and not bothering with the CD.
