I perused the Comtan web site and now understand your earlier question.
Although it is advertised as a COMT inhibitor their claim is that
efficacy is due to extending plasma levels of levadopa making more
available to cross the brain blood barrier.

No claims are made about it's action in the brain. One would therefore
not think that Comtan would be a suitable monotherapy without levadopa.
So I stand corrected.
