Angus,

I am glad you wrote about your problem with swollen legs. I kept saying that it was my Parkinson''s that was causeing me to have swollen legs and feet. I am also on lasix and Potassium. I also had an ultra-sound to make sure there were no clots. Believe it or not I am on predisone and it has really helped with the swelling. ( am using that to help some inflamation I have and can not take any anti inflamatory drugs)

Subject: Swollen Legs

Friends,
=20
Apparently swollem lower legs and feet are something=20
that just goes along with PD ? =20

Beyond the use of support hose, I can't seem to find a=20
Dr. that is at all concerned. Gp says feet up and wear the=20
support hose. Neuros say this is not part of the neurological=20
aspect of PD. My Cardiologist ran ultra-sound to make sure=20
that there were no clots present and the prescribed "Lasix" and=20
potassium pills. All of this seemed to do little but aggrivate my=20
already frequent trips to the bathroom.

My legs still swell up and my feet don't want to go back in=20
my shoes once I take them off. Socks or even sweat pants=20
leave a decided impression, and they still bother me. It would=20
be nice if I could keep them up, but this is just not practical.

Anybody have similar problems? Have you found a way to =20
conquer the swelling? Or .... Oh well, just part of the=20
PARKIN Space I'm in ?

Thanks for your input from the middle of no where, Rob
