Vitamin E, like vitamins A, D, and K, are fat-soluble vitamins, and, unlike the B vitamins and vitamin C, *accumulate* in the body when taken in too-large qualtities. Each of those fat-soluble vitamins can be exceedingly toxic if taken in overdose. Vitamin E *deficiency*, artifically produced, has been shown to cause miscarriages in *rats*, and not much else. There is some controversy as to whether Vitamin E intake above the minimum daily requirements is good for *anything*; but certainly, anything much over 1000 IU can produce toxicity which can be serious. > MOST OF THIS INFORMATION HAS BEEN OUT THERE IN CONTROLLED STUDIES AND > RESEARCH FOR OVER 20 YEARS BUT THE PUBLIC IS KEPT IN THE PROVERBIAL > DARK.
