Thank you all who wrote to me with information! In addition to the "PD tremors" I have a constant twitching of my various muscles. My new neuro has found something's wrong in the spinal MRI I had done 2 weeks ago, and I think that is why he has tried Baclofen before doing the trial of PD drugs. A doc a couple years ago put me on Baclofen which had the same results except I was still able to take adequate breaths. I am weaker now than a year ago, so I guess that could be why I had the problems I have had. My voice was reduced to a whisper, as if "normal" was not bed enough. Also thanks to all about the Vit. E info. The idea that a vitamin could be toxic with out taking half a bottle had never occurred to me. David, When I get fatigued I end up with panic attacks that come with this awful feeling I can't breathe right. We are trying a steady course of clonazepam 4 times a day. It has helped but not cured the attacks. We are going to change my anti-depressant from effexor to paxil. I don't know if your breathing problems have anything to do with panic attacks, but I thought I would mention it. Gregory E. I've mined the archives & the web but have not specifically been able to find the answer to my question. I am STILL in the dx seeking phase & now they have me taking Baclofen 1/2 of a 10mg tab 2 times per day (3 X per day starting wed). He wants to rule out something to do with GABAA before a trial of PD meds, & Baclofen does tat somehow. I have only been on it 5 days.` Q. Has anyone else had the experience of Baclofen causing shortness (too shallow) of breath? Increased difficulty doing everything.
