Mike: I thought I was the only person in Columbia, SC who has Parkinson's. Mine was diagnosed about a year ago, although I now realize that I've had symptoms for several years. I take one 25/100 sinemet, one comtan and one mirapex three times a day. The sinemet only last about three and one half hours. My last dose is at 3:00 p.m. and by 7:00 p.m. my left hip and leg begin to cramp. I'm not sure if the cramps could be considered as dyskinesia or not. I know that it's a very uncomfortable feeling. Sleeping is difficult. The strange thing is that my left hip and leg didn't bother me nearly as much before I started taking the sinemet. I started out with a slight limp. About a week and a half after I started taking sinemet, my leg became stiffer and walking was more difficult. Since then it's improved somewhat, although it has deteriorated during the past month. I started out seeing Dr. Ngo here in Columbia but then switched to a doctor at Emory. I liked Dr. Ngo and will probably go back to him as driving to Atlanta is becoming a chore. If I can help, let me know. Have had dyskinesia perty bad at times. About 2 months ago started having cramps and real bad dyskinesia in my left leg and left foot which makes me limp and kick my leg when I walk. This happens about 30 min. after any strenth of med. ( half 50/200 or half 25/100) If I am not on any meds. it does not hurt or move. Anyone having these problems? Would sin 10/100 or this new drug Pergolide help? Any suggestions?
