Stars make benefit Happen
by Gayle Fee and Laura Raposa
Tuesday, May 29, 2001
``What's the Worst That Could Happen'' director Sam Weisman hosts
Michael J. Fox and a posse of his celebrity pals tonight at a benefit
sneak peek at the made-in-Mass. flick at the Wang Theatre. All the
funds raised will be given to Fox's foundation for Parkinson's Disease
research.

Besides Sam and Mike, who worked together a lifetime ago on ``Family
Ties,'' cast members Lenny Clarke, Nora Dunn, Sascha Knopf, Siobhan
Fallon and GQ have RSVP'd to the bash. Locals with roles in the MGM
comedy - fab Four Seasons GM Robin Brown, KISS 108 morning man
Matt Siegel and ex-Bruin Cam Neely will make the screening scene. And
word is, F.O.M. Denis Leary, who is in town doing some of his firefighter
foundation work, may also show.

Before the screening, big donors who ponied up $1,000 per ticket will get
to meet Michael and party with the staahs (sadly, the movie's marquee
names Danny DeVito and Martin Lawrence will be MIA) on the Wang
stage. Hamersley's Bistro, which played a role in the film which shot here
last summer, will provide the elegant eats.

After the applause, those who paid $150 for their tickets will repair with
Robin to the fab Four for dessert. Which sounds like the best Thing
That Could Happen!
