Robert, I am an example of someone who ended up taking Sinemet only on an as needed basis. After 18 years of Parkinson's, I was only taking it to cut my husbands hair, pay bills, drive the car, etc. It added up to about 3 or 4 pills a week. I am sorry you have taken that attitude about your neurologist, you should find one you just adore. Remember you are going to have this disease for the rest of your life. My neurologist let me take the amount of Sinemet I needed on my own after we worked together for several years.
