Yes Jo Ann, I learned some time ago to ignore them. If I hadn't I would be bed-confined today. The reminder I would like to share is that not all neurologists are as helpful, or knowledgeable, as a PWP may require. A few are gifted, some are talented, but many are (in my view) "neuromechanics" of the medical world. Your guess is likely to be as good as theirs... Since PD manifests differently in each of us, a neurologist who focuses on "norms" will be of little assistance. The following is said frequently on this list, and bears repeating: keep a symptom journal, trust your observations (and your intuition), find a neurologist who takes the time to listen to you , to give feedback and discuss your concerns, and who is supportive in all ways!
