WARNING. I received from a reliable source the following credit card scam
attempt:

i just opened to read my email and found a letter from "AOL" saying my credit
card had just expired in their system and in order to keep my AOL running i
had to send an updated credit card number within 24 hours. i contacted AOL
help line and they did confirm that it is a false letter. it is not from AOL.
it is someone trying to get your credit card number so they can steal from
you. Please do not send your credit card to anyone writing saying they are
with payment updates. I was told AOL does not allow their staff to ask for
your credit card numbers.

You should never give your credit card number out unless you are confident of
the source.
