Dear friends,

I don't want to come off sounding like a prophet or something like that, but
when I left the list two+ years ago, I was trumpeting the promise of stem
cells.
Now there is a great debate going on as to the ethics and moral issues behind
using human embryos for research use.
As an almost zealous Christian and a man with an untreatable brain disorder,
I am both opposed to the use of tissue from embryos and pulling for a cure at
the same time.
I say that my form of P.D. is "Untreatable" because unlike typical
Parkinson's, which starts in the S.N., I injured ONLY my pallidum in the CO
poisoning almost 13 years ago. Thus, the atypical symptoms, and
unresponsiveness to levadopa and agonists.
I suppose I am just looking forward to my reward. If I stay the course that
the Lord has set for me, living my life just as I am now (which, by the way,
is not good), on the day of judgement He will say to me, "Well done, my good
an faithful servant!"
I am only 30 years old, and I pray that I will live a lot longer.

Jacob
