This comment is for those who can't resist opening attachments. When did you install your anti-virus program? You are protected and you don't have to do anything else? WRONG! Anti-virus program writers update the virus list monthly of the new just written viruses. The type of virus which resulted in posters to Parkinsn being replied to and attaching the virus could be a brand new one. Your virus definitions need to be updated monthly and if your program doesn't do that automatically there is bound to be an update button in the program. If in the anti-virus program you select to let the program intercept your email and scan it first and then deliver it to your email program you probably will never actually receive the virus. It will be intercepted and quarantined and you will be notified. Probably the email that contained the virus is still readable but the attachment bearing the virus will be disabled. You can never receive a virus if you read the Parkinsn mail on P-I-E-N-O. The url of the mail is: http://parkinsons-information-exchange-network-online.com/maillist.html At least one other person's computer got the virus that was going around. I get alerts from around the world when a Parkinsn message contains a virus. If you must use Outlook Express, check your version and click on tools/windows update regularly and download any security patches and the latest version. If you are on modem it will take a while but it is worth it to protect yourself and us. Outlook Express version 5.00 is not secure and is suceptible to many worms and viruses. If your browser is not version 5.5 changes are your Outlook Express is out of date also. They are bundled together sometimes. The most improbable people get viruses but don't get paranoid, just be smart and protect yourself.
