Sue, The video tape, In Search of a Champion: The Young Onset Parkinson Project is a 30 min video by Visual Logic and is being made available by the Greater Kansas City Parkinson Association, 7808 Foster, Overland Park, KS 66204-2955. Their website www.pdkc.org or e-mail [log in to unmask] The video or it's producer won four major awards for the video. PAGKC was offering to mail the video at a cost of $5.00 and since I was diagnosed at 47 and know one of the pwp on the video I got one. I showed it at my home when my sorority met here in May. My sisters all said it was good. This might be what your students should see. I am 47 years old, diagnosed for 3 years. My question/query/wonder is about my job. I teach - Science - to middle school children (and, no, I'm not crazy. Well, maybe I am, but I do enjoy my time with 7th graders. Never a dull moment.). I have told the students in the past that I have PD, but I would like a video about PD that would explain the disease to my students. Preferably, about 30 -40 min in length, if things go well, I can maybe squeeze an extra 4 or 5 minutes in class period. Thanks, Sue Sands-Buss ---------------------------------------------------------------------- To sign-off Parkinsn send a message to: mailto:[log in to unmask] In the body of the message put: signoff parkinsn ---------------------------------------------------------------------- To sign-off Parkinsn send a message to: mailto:[log in to unmask] In the body of the message put: signoff parkinsn
