Paul, Times have changed ! You no longer need to disclose any disability on a Job Application and just like asking age and sex, it is a violation of you civil rights for the employer to do so. If you are capable of doing the job that they are advertising, You should not say anything and it is none of their business. This goes so far as if you are using a service dog for balance, support, and to assist you in othe areas (including pulling a wheel chair) you need not disclose this either. It is surprise time when you arrive at work. I have several sites where you can gain more info on this as well as a real live friend in a power chair who spends every waking hour advising folks of their rights, and following up on any problems with great glee. Would be happy to give you the hot links or email addresses for anything relating to an ADA or access problem. When my dog and I fly to a bigger VA hospital, the airlines can't say a thing, etc. If we don't stand up for our rights, pretty soon we won't have them. If I can point you to some assistance let me know, Rob ----- Original Message ----- From: "Paul Ayers" <[log in to unmask]> To: <[log in to unmask]> Sent: Tuesday, July 31, 2001 4:25 PM Subject: "To tell or not to tell" > >From the experience of the list: > > When applying for a job do you tell you have PD upfront? > > How does one with PD fill out an application ? > > Thanks > > Paul > > > > --------------------------------- > Do You Yahoo!? > Make international calls for as low as $.04/minute with Yahoo!
