Suggest you contact Michigan Parkinson Foundation (1-800-852-9781, or 1-248-433-1011) the president of which is Dr. Peter LeWitt. They have a listing of most of the top Specialists in Michgan by location. Peter LeWitt, along with his colleagues are outstanding specialists in the SE Michigan area. They are primarily Parkinson specialists who are in the forefront of research. In Western Michigan there are Parkinson specialists in Grand Rapids and Holland--(call Dianne Ecklund, West Michigan Parkinson Group, (1-616-954-8077 for referrals). Or, if you happen to be in Southwest Michigan let me know and I can steer you to the Neurologist here who is, in my opinion, the best and most knowledgeable Parkinson specialist in this area. Also there are some good people and programs at Rush Presbyterian/St Luke's in Chicago--they usually require a referral from your neurologist. Hope this helps.
