David, I go to the VA for PD among other things, but with all of the "talk" about the VA centers for PD - supposedly 6 - no one at the VA that I go to has any idea. I get to see a general neuro there (about every 6 months now that I have broken into the system) as well as my other practitioners. I was sent to a larger VA in MPLS, but I don't feel that the Dr I saw there was as good as the ones I had seen locally. Getting an appointment within my lifetime was another problem. I was hoping to find one that was tuned in on PD or a movement disorder specialist. I don't think that there are any in my local area outside of the VA and I have a bit of a funding problem also If you find out anything exciting about the centers or this new relationship, I would appreciate being informed. Thanks and good luck, Rob ----- Original Message ----- From: "david fein" <[log in to unmask]> To: <[log in to unmask]> Sent: Sunday, July 29, 2001 2:30 PM Subject: u.s. veteran > looking for someone who has or is in treatment for pd from the veterans adminstration or someone who has knowledge of the veterans affairs alliance with the national parkinson foundation. > > ---------------------------------------------------------------------- > To sign-off Parkinsn send a message to: mailto:[log in to unmask] > In the body of the message put: signoff parkinsn ---------------------------------------------------------------------- To sign-off Parkinsn send a message to: mailto:[log in to unmask] In the body of the message put: signoff parkinsn
